In the fall of 2002,
as the hot summer months slowly drifted away, Perishable & Nimbus equipped themselves with
their trusty arsenal of pens & pencils and headed out into the mysterious basin scablands
in search of mechanical adventure & excitement. >> |

Many unique forms of machinery were discovered during the
two-week art expedition, including many of the sketches shown here. Bizarre geometries,
slow contours, and chaotic abstractions were eagerly studied during blissful moments
of quiet contemplation. >>

Ultimately, the experience provided a glimpse into the
infinitely complex existence of machinery. Seeing a truck and simply thinking "truck"
utterly fails at conveying the timeless essence of nameless idiosyncrasies and convoluted
physicalities manifested within. *** |
